Do You Have A Gate Project We Can Help With?

About James Automation

James Automation was established in 2000.

Since then we have designed, manufactured, installed automatic gates and barriers of all types.

As with all machines Automatic Gates require maintenance, therefore we offer all clients planned preventative maintenance including prompt attendance when required.

We work with many property management companies, housing associations, national infrastructure, commercial and domestic clients.
Where required we offer a bespoke design service to ensure our clients achieve their vision.

As a responsible installer of machinery, often in public places, we pride ourselves on the highest safety standards, attested by our industry accreditations.

Our ethos is that safety comes first. It is for this reason we create innovative bespoke designs for all new and upgraded gate systems and can provide servicing and maintenance for existing gate systems. Our servicing and maintenance options guarantee that your automatic gate is safe and ensures longevity, as we have a rigorous check list.

We provide heavy duty engineering in a wide selection of gate systems. We have the knowledge and expertise to manufacture and install a huge variety of gate systems.

The full range of automation, installation, service and maintenance for new and existing gates is available.

We provide safe and secure gate systems for our clients.

James Automation has been manufacturing, installing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of gate systems since 2000. Compared to our humble beginnings, we now complete an average of over 10 projects a month and maintain more than 250 domestic and 290 residential and commercial gate systems.

To date we have installed over 1200 gate systems and have undertaken over 500 automatic gate compliance tests.

We manage over 50 call out repairs and installations per week. We meet all the deadlines that are scheduled and our KPI’s are 98-100%

Geographically we cover the whole of the UK, but within that our gate systems can be installed in a wide range of premises, including (but not limited to) private properties, residential developments, hospitals, government buildings, car and lorry parks, theme parks, hotels, caravan parks, retail parks, commercial facilities and office developments.

The clients we work for are not only domestic clients but large Housing Associations, HM Prisons, letting and management agents and Developers for large developments both commercial and residential.

We are keen to promote safe and healthy workplaces and the protection of the environment.

These common objectives are shared with our clients, residents, suppliers and partners in all our undertakings. This approach has meant we have had no major or minor incidents in over 10 years.

All of our staff are trained to undertake their working day in a safe and positive manner, with particular attention to consider those around them.

James Automation invests in producing, training and keeping quality staff. Our managers are qualified to instruct in gate safety, installation, repairs and maintenance.

All staff have attended training and achieved basic and advanced competency in Gate Automation and attend regular health and safety courses.

James Automation recognises that it has a responsibility to the Environment beyond Legal and Regulatory requirements. We are committed to reducing our Environmental impact and continually improving our Environmental performance as an integral part of the business strategy and operating methods, with regular review points. We will encourage our customers and suppliers to do the same.

We strive to provide quality control and courtesy to all of our customers.

To ensure quality control and courtesy for our customers we appoint a project manager to oversee the project. They will attend the site at commencement, midway and on completion of works to ensure all aspects are completed to the high standards required. Any issues raised will be dealt with quickly by our on-site staff or project manager.

Although we currently do not operate an ISO 9001 quality based procedure system, we have our own in-house procedure with strict protocols, and designated reporting lines to ensure that all work processes are dealt with efficiently to ensure quality, performance to detail, best practice and value.

We have a sign off procedure within our IT system for post inspecting works and completing works. The system allows a fully detailed report and approval by the Managing Director.

All of our new systems are assembled and wired at our workshop and tested prior to handover. This minimises the disruption to clients and makes installation a quick and easy process.
